Minority Millennials is a 501 (c)(3) grassroots organization based in Long Island focused on bridging the gap between policy and culture by changing the negative narratives in ethnic communities and empowering those millennials with the necessary tools to solve problems with innovative ideas.
Danny Lloyd, President, and Co-Founder of Minority Millennials challenged Blue Surge Marketing Agency to create a comprehensive digital marketing plan that would help the organization reach their objectives and add members through awareness.
This was a particularly difficult task as there are several sociological and psychological paradoxes that make marketing to millennials of minority backgrounds on Long Island.
Blue Surge first sat with Minority Millennials to help them discover their intended target demographic and audience that they wanted to reach.
Next, we created a comprehensive outline that detailed the suggested actions they should take to build their member base, one of these being brand activations through community events.
To implement this, we used a powerful event marketing platform that enabled event registrations on the Minority Millennials website.
Continuing with that mindset, we took a vested interested in redesigning their website from scratch after taking over the project from an overseas freelancer. We added new functionality and built out new pages. This included an advanced map using an API and Google's Cloud Platform and an events calendar.
Minority Millennials was able to see an immediate growth in the membership of their organization within the first three months of working with Blue Surge as well as several other positive benefits.
By no longer having to rely on an overseas freelancer, Minority Millennials was able to make quick changes to their website, thus improving communication with members and encouraging increased website retention.
