Challenge

Heath A. Broughton, Founder of Man In The Mirror Youth Counseling Inc., a recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit from the Long Island, NY area approached Blue Surge Marketing Agency with the task of assisting them with getting their mission heard in the noisy landscape. A seasoned veteran to the community-based nonprofit movement, Heath knew that reaching out to new disenfranchised voices in his hometown of Wyandanch in 2019 would be challenging.

Heath specifically wanted to organize an event that brought together fathers and sons under one roof, to spend quality time with each other and being able to receive readily available support services.

Strategy

After getting the vision disseminated from leadership, we worked to design a lasting and unique flyer that would engage prospective attendees and visually captures the features of the event. We created the flyer and made several alternative versions that were readily shareable on social media, web and via SMS. Next, we created a custom event landing page that covered all the bases for Man In The Mirror's event. Blue Surge made it easy for attendees to RSVP and have the option to donate contributions straight from their mobile device using custom links. On the backend, Man In Thr Mirror would be able to see analytics including where traffic was coming from as well as collect emails.
